A friend of mine wants me to put together a full sized complete coa ( shield, helmet, torse, crest, and mantle) to hang in the game room/bar of his new house that he is in process of building. Before anyone asks he is fully entitled to display the arms of a distant male ancestor. I have found everything I need (seamstress for the multicolored mantle and torse, shield and artist for the shield, etc.) My problem is to stay true to his arms I need a frog mouth tilting helmet. I have found almost every other kind. Can anyone help with this as I'm getting tired of looking?
Thank you for any help in advance.
Joe

Re: looking for replica helmet
There are lots of great helms on the market but precious few frog-mouthed ones. I eventually found this:

Re: looking for replica helmet
Thank you Mr. Green. After reading your response I realized I had searched for 'replica medieval helmets' instead of " replica frogmouth medieval helmets'. With the new search I found a few more with the least expensive less than $200.00. If he accepts the final price for everything and I actually get this finished I will be sure to post the finished product here. The prices got me thinking, I know someone with an extensive sheet metal shop and I'm going ask him about making molds to punch out the pieces for the two most common helmets used in heraldry out of thin sheet metal for display purposes only with the intent to lower the prices. The project with my friend will continue with what is currently available because the money doesn't matter to him. I wish I could say that!
Thank you again,
Joe

Sounds like a fun project!
Curious re: your future plans for lower-cost display helmets -- which two helmet styles are you considering?

It would be great if we could see an image of the finished project Joseph
