I found the following entry in An Ordinary of Arms by Sir James Balfour Paul (2nd edition, 1903):

Entry 4651. Paly of six arg. and sa., on a fess of the first three mullets of the second. Jaffray of Kingswells (1672-7).

Well-designed arms, not overly complex and quite visually appealing. I noted in the blazon the words "two and one" for the arrangement of the arrows. Are those words necessary? There are arms depicted in Boutell's Heraldry with similarly arranged arrows for M'Adam, although without the chief. Those ...

Indeed, Seb! A comparison of this image to the one in the HSS Member' Arms Gallery immediately highlights the error.
