The armiger first began thinking about assuming armorial bearings in 2016 upon completion of eight years of faithful and distinguished service to God and country; coinciding with the beginning of his pursuit of a law degree.

During his service, the armiger volunteered for the submariner corps and, during his tenure as a member of this Naval Special Operation Corps, he was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Unit Citation, Navy Expeditionary Medal, National Defence Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal , Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, and Navy Arctic Service Ribbon. The Dolphins represent the twin Dolphins depicted on the submariner's badge, a much prized honour requiring laborious tasks and superb attention to detail; these actions cement participants into a lifelong brotherhood.

The sword represents the years of service to country as a devoted sailor, serving on multiple campaigns and sea tours.

The armiger chose to have the mantling depicted in Gules and Argent; Gules for military strength and leadership and Argent to represent honesty and peace in the pursuit of the law.

The motto, “Ego Latent Sub Undis, Ego Sum Magister Bestia”', may be paraphrased as “I Lurk Beneath The Waves, For I Am Master Of The Beast”.
