Lauriston,is currently (2016-17) Deacon of the Incorporation of
Wrights in Glasgow and also a liveryman in London, with the
Worshipful Company of Basketmakers.

held by Dorothy Newlands of Lauriston after being assigned by
William Newlands of Lauriston on 14th February, 2017.
Lauriston Castle's barony was re-named Miltonhaven in 1695. (The
outgoing Straton Laird wanted to take the name with him to his new,
more modest, estate.)
