The arms reflect the
livery colours of the flag of Saudi Arabia which also features a
sword. The sword chosen by the armiger for inclusion in his
achievement is a representation of one of the nine swords of The
Prophet (the armiger is a collector of weaponry). The scales reflect
his legal training and the lion is a nod to the original Abernethy
arms which are a lion rampant Gules surmounted of a ribbon Sable.
