The coat of arms of the British Broadcasting Corporation:

Image

Azure a Terrestrial Globe proper encircled by an Annulet Or, and seven Estoiles in Orle Argent.
On a Wreath of the Colours, a Lion passant Or, grasping in the dexter fore-paw a Thunderbolt proper.
On either side an Eagle, wings addorsed proper collared Azure pendant therefrom a Bugle horn stringed Or.
"Nation shall speak peace unto Nation"


Granted in 1927 and used by the BBC extensively till 1977.

It is a great shame that these arms are no longer in use. It is supposedly trendy to disregard coats of arms.
The South African Broadcasting Corporation also had a coat of arms which has all but been forgotten.
