Should the "molet Argent" mention the points since it they number six from the emblazonment?

The Committee on Heraldry of the New England Historic Genealogical Society have a very strange way of blazoning.
Their record for these arms is:

Arms: Azure three chevronels silver between a sphinx and a cross moline gold, in sinister chief a molet silver.
Crest: A Paschal lamb.

Their explanation is "This blazon accords with the style adopted by the Committee over one hundred years ago when it first undertook the systematic registration and recording of arms borne in the United States. We regard it as equivalent to the blazon submitted".

I could just about emblazon the shield (good point about the number of points in the star Mark) but the blazon for the crest could be interpreted in a number of ways and may end up with the artist adding a halo when there shouldn't be one.
