Happy Anniversary to the Canadian Heraldic Authority

Post by Jeremy Kudlick » Sun Jun 02, 2013 11:11 pm

June 4 marks 25 years since Her Majesty signed Letters Patent transferring her heraldic authority and prerogative to the Governor General of Canada, thus authorizing the creation of the Canadian Heraldic Authority. I'm sure we can all agree that the Authority has been quite successful in its youth.

In 2004, then-Chief Herald Robert Watt wrote an essay for the Monarchist League of Canada describing some of the early trials, tribulations, and triumphs of the Authority's first 16 years. http://www.monarchist.ca/sites/default/ ... /8/137.pdf
