Heraldry Society of Scotland Forum Closure 1/4/19

Post by J Duncan of Sketraw » Sun Mar 24, 2019 3:49 pm

The Heraldry Society of Scotland regrets to announce that the HSS Forum will be closing down on 1 April 2019. In recent years it has suffered from declining use as people move to more modern social media. The technology on which the Forum runs is outdated by modern computing standards and it has required a disproportionate amount of effort to maintain. The Society would like to thank all those who have contributed to the Forum over the years, and everyone who has provided technical support in the background. In its heyday it has been a lively and convivial meeting place for like-minded people, but it is time to move on."
Members of the Heraldry Society of Scotland are quite welcome to use the Armorial Register forum which is of a similar layout.

I suppose there are all sorts of copyright issues, let alone technical ones to prevent a copy of the HSS forum being "archived" here?
Yours aye

Stephen
