The Duncan Armorial of Scottish Arms has a new addition added. Duncan of Mott was recently discovered on the Pont's Manuscripts 1624 at Lyon Court, Edinburgh.

Well the next step will be to do full achievements of the arms where possible and a bit of history on each armiger, again if available. Then perhaps have a go at the English ones.

A while back I had a look for John for some Duncan Arms south of the border without much success. I could find nothing in the Visitations and those that I did find resident in England were Scots.
I have always found Darrel E. Kennedy very helpful when it come to requests for details of Canadian grants. Best of all, John, it is free!

Thanks for the information Stephen although Sir. Patrick Duncan still eludes me!
He mus have has a grant one presumes through the CoA if he was made a Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of St Michael and St George on 5 February 1937.
Hew was a Scot by birth (Fortrie, Aberdeenshire) but as we know there is nothing in either of the ordinary's of arms, Scotland.
