QUARTERLY EN EQUERRE
Does anyone know of an example of this being used? I was searching for German heraldic terminology and found this.

Don't recall seeing this before.
Useful to know if you should run across the term in an old text, or the image in an old roll. But I'd really cringe if someone were to use it in a new design!

Re: QUARTERLY EN EQUERRE
Here is some info for those interested in such
From a 2005 thread http://www.heraldik-wappen.de/viewtopic.php?t=1284 in the German Heraldik im Netz forum, there are 21 COAs with a 'Hakenkreuz' (aka swastika) in Siemacher. Names and dates are listed by German heraldrist and genealogist Friedhard Pfeiffer, who for health reasons is now not very active in this forum. He was until a few years ago a wealth of information and had access to a massive heraldry database (with restricted access at the time) put together by Prof. Herbert Stoyen at the University of Erlangen (no longer accessible).

Re: QUARTERLY EN EQUERRE
I found an exact example. TALE from Braunschweig, argent and gules, no other info, though the colors appear to be reversed from the black and white image compared to the colored one. The crest, of course follows the same colors.

Re: QUARTERLY EN EQUERRE
Let me rephrase that, the tinctureand metal appear to be reversed.

Re: QUARTERLY EN EQUERRE
I messed up again. I meant color and metal. I have got to slow down.
