I have been researching the Duncan name for many years but their is always something that appears to astound you when you least expect it. The Crest of the Duncans of Ardownie on a rare collectible piece a Scottish Silver & Coconut Lidded Cup made by William Marshall of Edinburgh, 1873 with motto "Vivat Veritas" (May Truth Flourish), height 10.5" (27cm). Recently sold for well over its valuation of £7,450.
