Dennis Endean Ivall - 1921-2006

I am saddened to report the passing, on 6 February, of Cornwall-based heraldic artist Dennis Endean Ivall, after a long illness. Dennis’ wife Irene sent me a note today with the news, noting that although it was a bitter blow to him when his disability increased and he was unable to produce his meticulous work, he was always pleased and proud of the work he produced for The American College of Heraldry and individuals alike.

I know of several individuals who had arms rendered by Dennis - one of the world's foremost heraldic artists, and one with an instantly-recognizable style (he often produced "Celtic" versions of arms) - and I am pleased to have several versions of my own arms rendered by him in my own collection (http://davidwu10.drivinthebus.com).
