Help to blazon

Post by Antonio Lamanna » Thu Mar 26, 2020 11:07 am

Hi, I would like to emblazon my coat of arms, someone could give me an opinion on this blazon:
Gules, an eagle displayed Or langued of the field, surmounted by an inescutcheon Argent charged with a tree proper
Can you suggest a better blason?
Thank you,
AL

I can't quite make out the image of the tree however, it appears to have bare roots so it would be described as "eradicated". If it has leaves but exposed roots, it might be blazoned as "an oak tree (or whatever species it is) eradicated proper". If however, it has bare roots and no leaves then it might be described as "starved" or "blighted"; I'm not sure that you wish to convey the impression of a starved or blighted line though!
