Thank you for the explanation. Just curious, that's all from an artistic standpoint.

Re: Rev. Dr. Vance Leigh Sheen Whippo No.0572

Should the "molet Argent" mention the points since it they number six from the emblazonment?

Face Masks and Heraldry

I've seen recently a few armigers wearing their respective arms on face masks. Well, I can happily join that crowd.

Arms of The Institute of Heraldry

Today on Twitter I saw an emblazonment by the talented Quentin Peacock in which he digitally illustrated in the style of the late Dan Escott. This reminded me of Dan's magnificent emblazonment of the arms of The Institute of Heraldry (US Army). https://i.imgur.com/U8PlBcg.jpg https://i.imgur.com/pFG...

Very challenging to identify since the chief is smudged a bit. Where is this located?

Re: Hamilton Vs Lyon

59 pages!!! Bottom line appears to be Lyon wins... Indeed it does. It is interesting to note however that in a recently recorded talk to the Scottish Australian Heritage Council ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mr7yCqLkZEA Lyon does not appear to be of the opinion that feudal baronies don't exist,...

Re: Claes Zangenberg, Baron of Pittenweem No.0431

Personally, I would blazon Mr Z's arms: Or on a Pile inverted Vert a Scroll Argent with seal pendant (of the first), in chief two Maunches Gules . Though, since the maunches are arguably not in chief one could even say: Or between two Maunches Gules on a Pile inverted Vert a Scroll Argent with seal...

I am familiar with the bonnet, but what they are wearing in the print, as far as I can tell, does not resemble a bonnet. Hmmm, I suppose I will have to purchase this print to investigate. :)

Re: Dieter Bryant Rudolph No.0407

I am sure that the emblazonment reflects accurately what the armiger had in mind. But were they starting from the blazon I suspect that the majority of heraldic artists would depict the mullets and plate considerably larger than this illustration.
