The Arms of Selina Kerensky BA

The armiger (maiden name Deen) was born in North Yorkshire, England. Her arms reflect various aspects of her life. She has always had a deep love of literature, and strives to change the world for the better and her university degree in Social Science is a reflection of that desire. She has been recognised by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority as one of Britain's contemporary poets. Her poem "Eastern Promises" was featured in the Middle English Syllabus for 11-14 years olds called “The Tyger, The Rose and The Pleasure Dome”, a compilation of three schools television programmes exploring different styles of pre-twentieth century poetry, comparing it with contemporary poetry and inviting young people's responses to the poems. The scheme offered dramatisations and performances of poems by Shakespeare, Herrick, Burns, Blake, Coleridge, Christina Rossetti and Elizabeth Barrett Browning amongst others.
