Kathleen Anne McClurg - Personal Badge

These arms are based on those of the armigerís father, Frederick Henry McClurg, differenced by the use of a chevron to illustrate a new family lineage headed by Ms. McClurg.

The ravens refer to a Scottish story in which a widow's sons all of whom were fathered by three different men performed archery to show prowess with weapons for Robert the Bruce while he was on the run from the English. The brother's names were Murdoch, McKie and MacLurg. The brothers joined The Bruce's army until he became Robert I, King of Scotland. The fouled anchor relates to her and her father's service in the US Navy. The dragon alludes to forging ahead from the practice of map makers drawing dragons in areas of maps  and  charts  that  were yet undiscovered.  The torch enflamed refers to

her mother (Elaine Trula - Bearer of Light, Truth) and daughter (Caitlin Elaine - Pure Bearer of Light). The sword refers to her past military service.

The arms were designed and blazoned with gracious assistance of the International Association of Amateur Heralds (IAAH).
