The Arms of Matthew Lauren Mansfield

The armiger chose a shield of white (argent) to signify peace and sincerity throughout broken by the blue (azure) raguly line, which represents hardships and difficulty suffered. The black (sable) buck’s head in chief demonstrates a consistent determination to refrain from fighting unless provoked. The chess rook in base is meant to be a constant reminder to choose one's battles carefully.

The crest of three feathers signifies willing obedience, loyalty, and serenity of mind in all things.
The mantle is depicted here in the laurel leaf style as a whimsy because the armiger’s middle name, Lauren, is derived from "laurel", which is Latin, meaning "seer of second sight" or gift of superior intelligence.

The motto "Pax et Securitas" is Latin for "Peace and Security".
