The armigerís chosen design represents his passion for aviation. The sword represents his love of history especially the period of the Norman Conquest. He is a Lord of the Manor of Metfield in Suffolk and a member of  The Manorial Society of Great Britain.

The Motto, Nihil Obstat, is Latin for "nothing hinders" or "nothing stands in the way".
