The armiger is of an
ancient and noble family of Southern Italy. By Decree of the
Ministry of Internal Affairs in 2016 the armiger added the surname
d'Introna. The family was admitted, in 1749, with all descendants,
to the Nobility Class, with Decree of the Real Camera di Santa
Chiara (Supreme Royal Judiciary of the Kingdom of Naples under King
Carlo III di Borbone); original documents are in the State Archive
of Naples.

The armiger has an
officially registered tartan (1994) - The Scottish Tartans Society -
The Scottish Register of Tartans. Intended to be to be used by Dr
Pietro Confessore d'Introna, his family, heirs, and successors. The
tartan was designed to incorporate the colours from his arms
matriculated on 27 October 1986 in the Office of the Lord Lyon,
Edinburgh. |
