The armiger, a retired soldier, has worked as a chef. The three swords represent his military career and the colours, green, white and red, represent his Welsh heritage as displayed in the National Flag of Wales.

The Maltese crosses represents the armiger’s membership in the “Ordo Supremus Militaris Templi Hierosolymitani” (Latin for “The Sovereign Military Order of the Temple of Jerusalem”). He is also a member of the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes and the British Red Cross; the armiger has been the recipient of two Red Cross International Meritorious Service Awards and has served for over thirty-five years.
