Arms: Sable, a narrow pall inverted between three triple leaved willow branches stalked Or.

Crest:  A demi-stag salient Sable unglued and attired Or, the hide of the beast forming the mantling Sable doubled Or.

Assumed: Circa.1700: Jakob Weidle, *Stammheim, Calw, July 19th,1670 and December 3rd,1740; Gerlingen.

The Arms of Jakob Weidle

Jakob Weidle was born in Stammheim ,Calw, Germany July 19th,1670 and died in Gerlingen, Stuttgart, Germany on December 3rd 1740. He was married in the town of Gerlingen on February 22nd,1698 to Anna Queck, born in Gerlingen, Germany April 3rd 1666 died in Gerlingen, Germany May 8th 1724.

  Children:
Anna Catharina Weidle, July 4th 1700- December 13th 1755.
Jacob Weidle, July 5th 1706- July 5th 1706.
Johann (Hans) Jakob Weidle, January 12th 1710- April 25th 1788

Originating from Stammheim, Calw, winery owner, Jakob Weidle, was the founder of the Weidle family-line in Gerlingen. Through his son, Johann Jakob Weidle, he had 16 grandchildren. Many of his descendants still live in Gerlingen, but since the 19th century they can also be found in the United States of America in Lancaster County, Lebanon County, Venango County, Pennsylvania, as well as in Newark, New Jersey and other states and countries of the US.

The coat of arms of winery owner Jakob Weidle, originally a house mark (shield alone), has been used since approximately 1700 as a signet and it can still be found today on an old farmhouse near Gerlingen.
