The Arms of William W Henninger

Arms show a tower associated with the braueri Stein then Henninger from 1655.  The shield and tower used as trademark since 1869.

The Henninger family originates in southwest Germany going back to the 14th century. Over time four branches spread around southern Germany. These arms represent the Henninger Tower, old and new, which is still today a famous part of the Frankfurt skyline. From Heinrich, to Johannes, to Joseph, to Charles Henninger, the members who bear the arms today are: William, Mathew, Kathleen and Beth.

Johann Henninger (born 1795) went into the beer business with his father-in-law Andreas Reuter in 1816. His son Heinrich Christian Henninger invented a steam brewing technique that allowed mass production in the 1860s. He bought the Stein Braueri and opened an expanded facilty in 1869. Heinrich and his sons Zacharias and Johannes purchased numerous beer companies around Bavaria and SW Germany. The 1990s saw the family expand the company across the globe. By the 1990s, Henninger Beer was one of the largest producers in Germany. Today Henninger is a part of the large international Binding Braueri corporation.
